Must Be... Love is a 2013 Filipino coming-of-age romantic and comedy film directed by Dado Lumibao, starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla or popularly known as the KathNiel. The movie start showing on March 13, 2013 (Umm.. sorry! I'm so weeks behind)  This is Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's first ever full-length, solo movie following the success of their respective movies, 24/7 in Love and Sisterakas.

Synopsis

"Must Be Love" follows the exciting love story of Princess Patricia, better known as "Patchot" played by (Kathryn Bernardo) and her childhood best friend Ivan (Daniel Padilla). But what will Patchot do if she starts falling in love with her best friend . And what if Ivan only sees her as a 'tropa'? This problem will develop when another girl enters Ivan's life. Unfortunately for Patchot, it's her cousin Angel (Liza Soberano). Will Ivan fall in love with " Patch" or will they remain as best friends forever?

  • Miguel Morales

  • G. Toengi as Mommy of Patchot

The movies' famous tagline was "May babaing ginigirlfriend at may babaing binibestfriend lang" it's a thought of Ivan to not fall in love with Patchot since she is so tomboyish.

(If you haven't watch the movie, Don't read! I don't want to be a spoiler. HAHAHA)

Patchot's mother who was a former beauty queen played by (G. Toengi) left them when she was young. Since Patchot was the only girl in the family full of boys (her father, uncle, and cousins) she grew up acting like a boy, loves playing basketball with the boys.
Patchot realized she loves Ivan when that "SloMo" (Slow Motion) moment happened while they were playing basketball, and even told him "I  love you Ivan" unconsciously. But then to make the story short, Ivan wasn't sure if he loves back Pachot and Pachot takes back what she said, then there goes a third party (HAHA) Angel came along who happens to be Pachot cousin, Ivan felt a SloMo moment with Angel and thinks she's the one. They became a couple.
Tita Baby (John Lapus) is a professional hair stylist/make-up artist who happens to be in a depression for two years. When Gwen (Arlene Muhlach) Ivan's mother challenged Dolly (Cacai) to a competition for the Bridal make-up/hair stylist event, she obliged Baby to join but Baby has a condition: "She'll join if Patchot is her model". To make it short, Patchot became beautiful and learn to become a lady-like. Ivan fell in love with her while Angel was in Manila. He sees her in a "Fast Forward" moment not a SloMo. When Angel returned that's how the story have twist, knowing that King (John Estrada) is not in favor of  Patchot joining that event.

The movie is your definition of KILIG. You can't stop but smile every time there's a KathNiel sweet scenes. I love how Enrique Gil made a cameo in the movie. I'll give a TWO THUMBS UP for the movie. The importance of friendship, family and recognizing you're true self.

Must Be... Love Now on it's 2nd week.

btw,  I'm a KathNiel fan.
